Abstrakt: Cílem tohoto příspěvku bylo srovnat znalosti o epilepsii a postoje k lidem s epilepsií mezi studenty 1. ročníku a studenty těsně před absolvováním studia na Fakultě pedagogické ZČU v Plzni. V.sledky ukazují, že i přes určité zlepšení znalostí o epilepsii nedošlo ke změně postojů ani sebedůvěry v tom, jak pracovat s dětmi s epilepsií. Prezentované poznatky by mohly pomoci najít způsob, jak zefektivnit přípravu budoucích učitelů v této oblasti.

Title: Knowledge of and attitudes towards epilepsy among pre-service teachers
Abstract: The aim of this contribution was to compare knowledge of and attitudes towards epilepsy between first-year students and students having shortly before graduation at Faculty of Education in Plzen. The results showed that despite an improvement of knowledge of epilepsy, attitudes and also self-confidence how to treat children with epilepsy did not change significantly. The presented findings could help to find a way how to make training of pre-service teachers in this field more effective.
